The Clinical Vibropod: Engineering Structural Resonance for Advanced Vibroacoustic Entrainment
The field of Vibroacoustic Therapy (VAT) has historically been limited by low-mass delivery systems that dissipate therapeutic acoustic frequencies through mechanical displacement. The new Clinical Vibropod (2025) redefines this paradigm, operating not as vibration furniture, but as a high-powered, precision-engineered Macro-Cymatic Transducer. It is the very first whole body, high-powered VAT system of it's kind that uses a circular geometric framework to guide sound in a therapeutic application.
Louisa Firethorne has leveled up our designs from our flagship Sonosphere system to create this new clinical version of our high-powered VAT technology. By applying the principles of her Structural Resonance Theory (SRT), the Vibropod leverages macroscopic inertia and impedance-matched waveguides to deliver a coherent pressure field directly into the fluid matrix of the human body.
Like the Sonophere system, Vibropod is computer operated with a powerful control system designed by Rowan Firethorne, which greatly enhances the spectrum of integration of our system with other therapeutic methods and makes it safe and customizable for any level of sensitivity a person may have. This system has the same wave parameter controls as the Sonosphere with sine & triangle wave options, Volume LFO rate control, fractional frequencies, and of course our individual phase control over each bank of transducers, the magic key to the incredible feeling of our phased arrays.
The new Vibropod is currently in it's testing phase, but has some very distinct differences than it's Sonosphere predecessor. We listened to dozens of doctors and therapists who let us know what they would need in order to add our VAT systems into their practices. The new Vibropod has the following improvements for a clinical/medical setting:
At just under 8 ft, it can fit in a standard height room
No moving parts/motor (reduced liability)
White medical grade coating
Headphones experience (no open-air sound system)
Increased power and control (6500 W Phase Guided System vs. Sonosphere's 4500W)
13-Transducer platform plus one coupling transducer for a total of 14 (Sonosphere has 10)
OUR PLAN: We are taking Vibropod through the FDA approval process, and it will be traveling to a few different Universities this Fall for double blind clinical studies. We are pursuing a Class I denovo classification from the FDA, which covers our claims of basic relaxation, and activating the autonomic nervous system. Once obtained, we can then apply for Class II which tests the Vibropod's abilty to treat certain issues of the nervous system.
Vibropod's chassis design is built upon the principals of sound wave mechanics used in designing musical instruments, particularly drums, and woodwinds. It's six part symmetry makes it the perfect resonator for sound waves, and because of the geometric symmetry, it can handle a much deeper range of sound than the Sonosphere system (cuts off at 20hz), going down to 6hz. Vibropod also has added waveguide slits on the 'lotus pedal' tips or 'tines' that resonate wavelengths of 40 hz and harmonics of 40Hz.
